Bangkok 3D/2N Trip Day 1 - Shopping at Platinum Mall ->NaRaYa at Central World > Krispy Kreme at Siam Paragon - > HK Noodles at Siam Square -> Dinner at Nam Sing, Chinatown -> Thai Body Massage at Reflex Place

Took train to Chit Lom and walked to Platinum Mall via overhead skywalk, passing by Hyatt, via Central World to escape the heat.

Entrance to Central World

Outside Platinum Mall. There was a new extension, smaller in size though, compared to the older ones. did some shopping here.

Boats along the "drain"

En route to Central World

BBQ fish - smelt very nice but dare not try.

More new shrines outside Central World.

Shopped at NaRaya and then to Siam Paragon for krispy kreme. The queue had become shorter, compared to the last visit half a year ago. I'm afraid this shop will be gone when I visit Bangkok the next time. This was what happened to shops in HK. The craze had gone!

Still love the taste of the very delicious original glazed donuts! 27 baht each!

Next, to Siam Square ...

to try the HK Noodles...

Dry wanton mee at 50baht. Small portion of noodles in a VERY BIG BOWL.

10 baht more expensive than that in Chinatown. Wanton skins were hard.

Mee with soup and lemongrass drink (20baht). I ordered guava juice, also 20baht. My daughter ordered water with ice - 15 baht plus 5 baht.

Next, we went to Chinatown for birdnest as well as dinner ..

It was very quiet .... kind of strange ...

Finally at Nam Sing... Very quiet inside too. There was only 1 other table occupied...

Were served complimentary iced refreshing chrysantham after ordering birdnest. The drink was so refreshing for such a hot day! Furthermore, it was FOC and free flow.

Sweet Condiments to go with bird nest.

Blood bird nest which costed 200 baht. It tasted very much better than those at MBK's.

Yummy fried rice (200baht), very big portion, enough to feed 4-5 persons. Hubby loved the fried rice! Our stomaches still full with noodles and donut so just ordered fried rice and veg.

Brocolli with scallops and pork floss at 300 baht. IT was a nice dinner! Total bill : 1100 baht.

En route to Hua Lampong MRT station ...

Odeon Gate at the Dragon's head
