Day 1 - Flight to HK -> Taxi to Silka Far East -> Deposit luggage -> Train to Sheung Wan -> Ferry to Macau Maritime -> Bust to Sands -> Bus to Gong Bei -> Check in L Hotel, Lianhua (Reivew)

As CX had a special offer of $280 return ticket to HK, we decided to make a trip to HK. Afterall, there were some places which I missed out visiting during the last trip.

The flight was pleasant. The seats has longer leg room and was spacious.

Food on board - chicken rice & fish & pasta. CX's meals is very similiar to that of SQ's. Even the ice cream is the same brand!

Upon arrival, we took a cab (cost: HK$220) to Silka Far East Hotel to desposit our luggages (HK$10 per luggage) before making our way to the Sheung Wan. Took the ferry to Macau. Cost: HK$160 per person. The frequency at Sheung Wan is better than that at the airport. The price is also cheaper. It was close to an hour ride to Macau and upon arrival, we took the free shuttle to Sands Hotel and took another bus from there to Gong Bei, 拱北. It was the peak hour and the immigration was crowded with tons of people.... Finally, we got through and make our way on foot to the Hotel.

We prebooked a triple room through ctrip and was pleasantly surprised that the hotel gave us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite that could sleep four. Only problem with the hotel was there was no breakfast available on site.

This was a pretty decent hotel. The price per night (and it was a Saturday night!) was 358RMB (Sing $77.26) and it was a very good deal, compared to the hotel rates in Macau or HK on a Saturday! Furthermore, we were upgraded to a suite. The room was very spacious with adequate amenities. A really value for money hotel. The hotel sits on Lianhua Rd with many shops nearby.
