We requested the driver to bring us to a tea plantation and he brought us to this one. We paid IDR60k to tour the factory which smells very nice of Jasmine. The factory was very old, low tech and very hot. The processing of the tea leaves was very manual. We were treated to a cup of tea after the visit.
Tea Factory
Tea plantation. Only the young leaves are harvested and there are different grades.
Took a picture of a terraced tea plantation on the way to the strawberry farm. Our driver was obliging to make a special stop for this picture taking.
Another shot
After a short while, we arrived at a strawberry farm
There is a restaurant nearby, catered mainly for tourists. Many tourists came here for lunch in loads of buses.
Entry tickets to strawberry farm. It costed IDR5000.
Here we are : Kebun Strawberry Farm. Strawberries can be picked and it costs IDR50000 for 1kg.
Very few strawberries to pick and they were not sweet as claimed.
Free strawberry juice (with milk added). Tasted nice but forgot that we are not supposed to take uncooked stuff. Thank God nothing happened later in the night. And the strawberries I picked. They overcharged me - IDR 15000 instead of IDR 10000 for 200g.
The farm keep some deers and they feed on grass bought by the owner. We fed them.
Some chalets in the area.
Someone was enjoying his flying fox adventure....
