We visited the Empire State Building next. The personnel at the building were very honest. They told us that
visibility was zero up there and advised us to come back another day. I wanted to back off but hubby insisted going up.
Bought 4 tickets at US$29 each and went up the building and visibility was really zero. There was nothing to see except mist!!
Honestly, the area around the building looked more interesting but there was no time to roam. The bus was waiting to pick us to Times Square.
We did not join the tour to visit Madam Tussad's. Instead, we took buffet dinner leisurely at midtown buffet Chinese Restaurant at
Times Square at US$16/person before tax. Total bill for 4 came out to be US$84 including taxes/tips.
Overall, it was quite a rush trip today and the only thing that we see that really represents New York was the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the Wall Street.
The tour was more interested to sell those attractions with admission fees, from the Interpid to the museum to the Empire State Building and the Madam Tussads at Times Square. It was quite a disappointing day. The night tour the day before as much better. After that, it was a 2hr journey to our hotel.
