Day 2 - Drove to Newlyn, Cornwall -> Checkin airbnb -> Dinner at Red Lion

It was another 4 hours drive to Newlyn , Cornwall from Bath.

Cornwall is a county on England’s rugged southwestern tip. It forms a peninsula encompassing wild moorland and
hundreds of sandy beaches, culminating at the promontory Land’s End. The south coast, dubbed the Cornish Riviera,
is home to picturesque harbour villages such as Fowey and Falmouth which we did not visit. The north coast
(which we also did not visit) is lined with towering cliffs and seaside resorts like Newquay, known for surfing.

Newlyn lies on the shore of Mount's Bay and forms a small conurbation with the neighbouring town of Penzance.
It is part of the Penzance civil parish, and is the southern-most town on the British mainland (though not the
most southerly settlement). The principal industry is fishing and it is home to one of the largest fishing fleets
in the United Kingdom, with over 40 acres of harbour although there are also a wide variety of yachts and pleasure
boats, in the harbour, as Newlyn is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination, with many pubs and restaurants.
The fishing industry is one of the most important in the county, contributing millions of pounds to the Cornish economy
each year. All sorts of fishing vessels can be seen in the harbour - beam trawlers, long liners, crabbers and even small
open boats used for hand-lining for mackerel in the Bay. The port was sacked and torched by a Spanish raiding party in
the 16th century, then rebuilt. Today, very little of old Newlyn remains. Many of the white painted or stone faced granite
cottages, separated by steep, narrow alleys, were only saved from demolition be the outbreak of the Second World War.
The medieval harbour walls are dwarfed by the hundred year old walls of the North and South Piers.

And we arrived in the rain. It was pretty wet and cold. Checked in the bnb, a 2 storey beige house with blue windows and doors
and wow, this bnb was the best, most beautiful and cozy for the whole trip! And the price of $885 for 3 nights was really a steal.
The house was very lovely, cozy and wonderful. Big and spacious and a home away from home.

The hosts provided everything that we need. The washer and dryer come with washing detergent and even conditioner.
The shampoo and bath gel were in small bottles , just like those in the hotel.
Kitchen was fully functional. Perfect is the word to describe their home.
They also provided bread, milk and eggs to start the first day!
Correspondence before arrival was also fast and prompt. Highly recommended.
Front of house which looked unimpressive and normal but it is very big and spacious inside.
