Upon reaching Sheung Wan, walked a short distance to Western Market to take the Ding Ding to Island Pacific. There are 4 ding dings to take to the hotel so it was very convenient.
Western Market - another shopping centre in the west

On the ding ding, which was narrower in width. You get up at the back and go down at the front after paying. The hotel is 4 stops away.
Went to pick up our laundry at a nearby shop at 西邊街 and noticed that there were many policemen. The shop owner of the laundry shop said this was very common. Then I spotted a group of people holding demonstrations along 西邊街. They were marching down from the slope.
Well, the next day is the polling day for the Chief Executive of Hong Kong and only about 1000 selected people get to vote. These people were not happy that they did not get to vote.
After resting in the hotel for a while, it was time for dinner. We wanted to try the popular Kwan Kee Claypot Rice 坤記煲仔小菜 . The recommended one in the Ding Ding's website was at Shop 1, Wo Yick Mansion, 263 Queen's Road West. However, when we went there, they said their reservations/tables were full. I asked if I could a reservation for the following day, the staff or owner arrogantly said it was also full. What an attitude!
Actually, I found one which had exactly the same signboard as this one along Connaught Road West when sending the clothes for laundry. It is very near to Island Pacific Hotel. However, their claypots were being serviced so claypot rice was not available till Tuesday. Nevertheless, we decided to have our dinner here. We were able to get a table for four though the shop was quite crowded. In Hong Kong, it is very common to sit with other people, especially if there are only two persons. With a party of four, we could have our own table. It was very clamped though. Table was small and we were sitting so near to other customers but this is Hong Kong.
The signboard indicated that this was a branch of 坤記煲仔小菜 . But the attitude of the staff of this shop is definitely much better than the other.
Ordered the supposedly good pork bone soup 豬骨煲 with free basket of lettuce. HK$108. Not really that fantastic. The tea served in a pot was used as beverage as well as a sterilizer of the cutleries.
The soup was in a steamboat. There was not much meat on the big pork bone. Realised that this shop also served steamboat.
Claypot Tofu HK$50
Sesame Mushroom chicken HK$55
Steam Fish HK$60
Can't remember how much the rice costed. Though steam boat was not fantastic, it was a good soup for a cold day.
After desert, we went to Yuan Kee 源記 along Centre street for desert. They served traditional hot deserts.
There was quite a crowd in the shop
Hot and yummy walnut cream HK$25
Black Sesame Cream HK$23
