After a hearty breakfast at SILQ, we took the skytrain to Victory Monument. Decided to do free & easy Ayutthaya instead of following a tour group. This is to save money and to be able to see the specific temples we are interested in. Tried calling a cab to Victory Monument but there were no takers. So we took the skytrain to Victory Monument and will catch a van to Ayutthaya from there.
Walking along the link bridge to the lane to catch the mini-van. Around Victory Monument - pretty busy area
Victory Monument
We took the min-van from here but actually, this was not the one bloggers recommended. Anyway, the van did fetch us to Ayuthaya in about an hour vis highway and also recommended a driver for us after knowing we are tourists. The one way trip costed 60 baht/person. We filled up the last 2 seats in front beside the driver and off we went. We hardly needed to wait!
This should be the place to catch the mini van. It is further down the link bridge, beside the Fashion Mall. We saw it only when we were back to Bangkok. LOL.
