Day 1 - Check in airbnb (review)

lady from the hotel next door checked us in. She did not recommend any restaurants to go but merely answered certain questions we raised and showed us which key was used to open which door. Total 3 keys. In Italy, tourists need to pay a tourist tax per person per night in cash.

Our airbnb was on the first floor and it was a loft so we have to keep climbing up and down. Puff,puff.. Pretty clean but dated deco and condition. The curtain was broken and the sofa did not look clean. The water from the shower was a trickle so could not enjoy the shower at all. I was told by my colleague that europeans do not shower, is that why? The shower stall was also very small and dark. I carried a lamp from the bedroom to put on the closed toilet bowl to brighten the area. The shampoo and soap provided were so little and small but owner provided more when I ran out after a day. Then I realised she stayed next door. Thank God that the bed was quite comfortable. The kitchen did not have enough bowls for two. I had to eat from the pot. The only plus is the superb location - next to Piazza Navona and near to Pantheon. Also walkable to St Peter Cathedral, Spainish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The colosseum was 30mins walk away. We did not take the subway at all throughout the entire trip. Early check in was possible and it was a nice gesture.
