Got off at Ueno, thinking we took the wrong loop. But we were actually on the right track. While waiting for the train, took a picture of the signboard of Ueno.

Journey took about 25mins. Collected the Hakone 3-day freepasses, hotel vouchers and Odakyu Romance Car train tickets from Odakyu Sightseeing Service Centre. The staff can speak English.

Learnt from a blogger that the Matsuzaka beef at a shop named Satou is cheap and good. Reached Kichijoji in 15mins.
Kichijoji covered shopping area. Walk for a short distance and Satou will be visible on the left

We reached the restaurant too early at around 4.30pm and they were not opened for business yet. Roamed around the shop.

This is the shop selling beef/pork ball which many claimed that it tasted wonderful. I found it so so only. Each box costed 320yen.

We were finally led to the restaurant upstairs via the narrow stairways. No one was there and there was no queue, even after we finished our dinner. Maybe, we were early.

We ordered 3 Matsusaka beef sets at 10,000yen each. The price seemed to have gone up! I thought it was 5,000yen then but the chef recommended this set. Look at the marbled fat meat!

Ordered one beef set at 2,500yen. Oh dear, not sure what this is. Is it Wagyu beef? Each set comes with soup and bottomless rice.

The 2,500yen beef steak set was more meaty but tasted nice. Oishi!
This is the Matsuzaka beef steak set. Full of fat. Why do we pay 10,000yen to eat fat? Hubby said it was smooth and melt in the mouth because of its fat.

So, this meal costed us more than S$500!
After dinner, roamed around Kichijoji before heading back to Shinjuku.
