St Augustine Square is surrounded by many important monuments, including the St. Augustine’s Church, Dom Pedro V Theatre, St. Joseph’s Seminary and Sir Robert Ho Tung Library.

Sir Robert Ho Tung Library on the right. St Joseph's Seminary and Church on the left. Cannot get into the St Joseph's Seminary and Church - the gate was locked! Did not know need to go the main entrance via another street!

Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, now a subunit of the Macau Central Library was established about 1894. In 1918, Hong Kong businessman Sir Robert Ho Tung bought the building and converted it into a splendid mansion. He died in 1955, bequeathing the building to the Macau Government as a public library. Three years later, it was officially opened to the public.
