Day 4: Coloane Village - Lord Stow's Portuguese Egg Tarts / Church of St Francis Xavier

Took a cab to Coloane Village and it costed MOP40 though it was quite near. The cab dropped us off near Lord Stow's bakery shop and even kindly pointed the shop to us.

We wanted to visit Church of St Francis Xavier first. Road signs showing the directions.

Around the Coloane Village

Lord Stow's Cafe - the brown shop

Back to Lord Stow's bakery shop

En route to Church of St Francis Xavier. The beach is not very nice.

Eduardo Marques Square. Chapel of St Francis Xavier stands behind the monument commemorating the local victory over pirates in 1910. Beside the chapel is Nga Tim Portuguese Restaurant.

Chapel of St Francis Xavier. Built in 1928, this chapel follows the baroque style of Macau's major churches. It has a cream and white facade with oval windows and a bell tower.

En route to Lord Stow's Bakery Shop

I bought 3 boxes of egg tarts which costed MOP120.

Yummy Egg Tarts

Also bought some sandwiches for dinner. It costed MOP17 and MOP18 for two egg sandwiches and two chicken sandwiches respectively.

We decide to take bus back to Venetian since it was still early and the travelling cost was cheaper. And coincidentally, there was a bus going to Venetian - bus #26. Bus stop diagonally opposite Lord Stow's shop.

Provision shop nearby the bus stop

Lord Stow's Garden Cafe near the bus stop.

Rua Da Cordoaria near the bus stop

We took bus number 26A back to Venetian Hotel from here. It costed only MOP6.40x3 for 3 persons. I rounded up and paid MOP20 using HK10 coins.

The bus stopped outside the Four Seasons Hotel, total of 7 stops and announcement of the stop is made via LCD display in the bus, just like in Taiwan.
