Review of Hotel Royal Macau

We stayed 2 nights at Royal Hotel in room 1504 from Jan 13-15.

On the first night, we checked in at around 2am in the early morning as ours was a late flight from Singapore. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a Premier Room. The room came with a King Size Bed but room size was not any bigger than the normal deluxe room and the rollaway bed was quite pathetic as it was very low. With the extra bed, the room appeared to be quite clamped. In fact, the hotel had to remove a sofa before the rollaway bed can be put in.

Deco is modern, soothing and new since the hotel room was renovated recently.

As a premier room guest, we took the breakfast in the lounge at the lobby level. Free drinks/snacks are also provided in the lounge in the afternoon and evening. But we were out most of the time so did not try the snacks. Would expect them to be the same snacks as breakfast.

Bed room with King size bed. The bed was not too hard and was comfortable to sleep on.

Mini fridge and mini bar with coffee/tea and a safe box below

Bathroom is satisfactory with a bathtub. No standing shower cubicle though.

Complete with amenities

Bathroom with marble flooring.

My only complaint was their housekeeping of the beds. The bedsheets were not changed but that was ok. What was unacceptable was they did not straighten the bedsheets to make them neat and prim. It was a very bad job done. I had to straighten the bedsheets before photos can be taken.

Conceirge. Staff at conceirge were very helpful. They helped us book Alorcha for dinner and hail taxi and answer all our queries.

Lift Lobby.

The hotel did not allow us to take photo of the front desk. Got the front desk in the background during breakfast

The lounge

Construction was still on-going when we were there but we did not hear any noise.

Overall, a value for money hotel.
