After a good night's rest and breakfast, we checked out, said goodbye to Gilroy, the garlic country and made our way to Point Lobos, Monterey. It was a relatively short drive to Monterey. We passed by many grasslands with cattle grazing busily. Nice countryside scenery.
The entrance fee to Point Lobos was USD10 and USD 2 for the map. We were early so there were not many people. Map here: http://www.pointlobos.org/general-info/maps
First point of interest was Sea Lion Point Trail. A grary whale was spotted sprouting out water. Actually, we saw only the water and did not see the whale!
